Key Activities

Policies, Processes and Procedures

• Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
• Help in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner
• Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly
• Perform other duties as requested by Engineering Manager

Project Management

• Perform complex Cyber Defense Engineering projects throughout their lifecycle, from initiation, planning, and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance, ensuring successful outcomes and alignment with client objectives and security requirements.
• Monitor project progress against established timelines, budgets, and key performance indicators (KPIs), proactively identifying any deviations, risks, or issues, and implementing corrective actions to keep projects on track and ensure successful delivery.
• Enhance and implement rigorous quality assurance processes for all Cyber Defense Engineering project deliverables, including designs, configurations, implementations, and documentation, ensuring they meet established quality standards, client expectations, and industry best practices.

Client Management

• Engage with clients in in-depth technical discussions and workshops to assess their cybersecurity requirements, understand their business objectives, analyze their existing infrastructure, and develop tailored security solutions that align with their strategic objectives and risk tolerance.
• Evaluate comprehensive documentation related to client interactions, project activities, technical configurations, and security architectures, ensuring that this information is accurate, up-to-date, readily accessible, and serves as a valuable resource for both clients and internal teams.

Security Operations

• Support in providing expert technical guidance and oversight for security operations initiatives, ensuring the implementation of industry best practices, advanced security technologies, and robust security protocols to protect client environments from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
• Evaluate and optimize the effectiveness of security tools, technologies, and architectures in use, ensuring they are up-to-date, properly configured, optimally deployed, and capable of detecting, preventing, and responding to the evolving threat landscape.

Reporting and Documentation

• Monitor that the Cyber Defense Engineering team utilizes and maintains a centralized repository for all project-related documentation, including design documents, configurations, reports, and lessons learned, promoting knowledge sharing, collaboration, and efficient access to information. • Capture and document lessons learned and best practices from each project, using these insights to inform future projects, enhance Cyber Defense Engineering methodologies, and improve overall service delivery.
